Cantine Ciani
The Ciani family has always been passionate about the cultivation of vines and the production of wine.
The family home, inhabited since 1700, has an internal cellar dating back to the beginning of the 1300s where there are still ancient barrels and equipment that were used to transform the grapes from the Aglianico grape vineyards that were located on the hills of Mirabella Eclano .
In 1948, on the land of the Ciani family, the first espalier vineyard was planted in Irpinia, the production area of the best grapes in Southern Italy, Aglianico for the "Taurasi", Greco for the "Greco di Tufo", and Fiano for the "Fiano of Avellino".
From this passion, handed down from generation to generation, the new Cantina Ciani was born in 2006 from an idea of Armando Ciani .
The new structure stands on a land of about 9,000 m2 with about 100 centuries-old olive trees in the part in front of the building. The building, partly underground for thermal and landscape reasons, extends for 1,430 m2 covered, 1,419 m2 uncovered and approximately 500 m2 on the upper floor.
